Supporting Indiviuals, Partners, and Families: Taking a whole person approach to therapy

WholeHeartedness is the capacity to engage in our lives with authenticity, while cultivating courage and compassion, and
profoundly embracing who we really are (Brene Brown).
WholeHearted Nest can be viewed as a metaphor of the therapeutic process: The WholeHearted aspect relates to the view
that all people inherently contain resources that they require to live a substantial and satisfying life. Nest speaks to the job
done between therapist and client, building an internal as well as relational nest with the uncovered resources that are already within.
When a person is able to access personal resources in times of distress it allows a sense of courage and balance in one’s
life. Creating a home wherever you are.
Clients are invited to engage in an environment of radical self-acceptance, mutual respect, and curiosity. Ultimately, I
believe it is paramount to establish a relationship where individuals feel deeply invited to bring their entire self to therapy
and work from there to build their WholeHearted Nest.

"Many of us spend our whole lives running from feeling
with the mistaken belief that you can not bear the pain.
But you have already borne the pain.
What you have not done is feel all you are beyond that pain".
~Kahil Gibran
